In Kyiv, an investigation was launched against the heads of the Kyiv City State Administration. 17 officials are accused of causing losses of 196 million hryvnias. According to the prosecutor's office, this anti-corruption work has been ongoing for several years, and this is only one stage of this systemic work.Among the criminal proceedings initiated, there is a case related to the suspension of metro operation in a certain section in 2023. This situation resulted in losses exceeding 164 million hryvnias, as it was necessary to organize alternative routes for public transport. The prosecutor's office plans to send these proceedings to court within 6-12 months.Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has already reacted to the handing over of suspicions to officials of the city administration. It was also reported that an official from the Department of Transport Infrastructure has been suspected in connection with the destruction of a tunnel in the metro.
