Russia damaged the embassy of Qatar in Kyiv: Foreign Ministry calls on Gulf states to react

According to ТСН: On the night of January 9, a Russian strike caused damage to the building of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kyiv.

Ukraine's Reaction

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented on the incident, stating:

“The Russian strike is a gross violation of the Vienna Convention and a reminder that Russian brutality knows no bounds.”

The Ukrainian authorities expressed readiness to provide all necessary support to the Qatari representatives. The diplomatic office also urged the Gulf states to 'respond diplomatically and publicly to Russia's irresponsible and dangerous actions.'

Actions of Russia

It should be noted that on the night of January 9, Russia launched 242 drones, 22 cruise missiles, and 13 ballistic missiles, targeting energy facilities and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, including using the medium-range missile 'Oreshnik.'

This offensive operation by Russia underscores the continuation of aggression against Ukraine, including pressure on diplomatic relations. In response, the Ukrainian side not only condemns these actions but also appeals to the international community for support in countering such actions. Recent events once again highlight the importance of upholding international norms and the rights of diplomatic representatives in the challenging conditions of conflict.
