Kyiv Heating Supply Restoration

According to TSN.ua: Efforts to restore Kyiv's heating system are ongoing following a major power grid failure. As of this morning, heat has been returned to more than 2,700 apartment buildings, though 693 addresses remain without heating. Emergency repair crews are working around the clock to reconnect the remaining households. This situation highlights the ongoing vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure during winter.

Resources Deployed

To carry out the repairs, 114 teams comprising over 500 workers have been mobilized. To ensure critical social institutions like hospitals and maternity wards stay warm, 69 mobile boiler units have been deployed. This measure is crucial for preventing a public health crisis during the cold season.

It is important to note that Kyiv's water supply and sewage systems are functioning normally, maintaining the city's essential infrastructure. As of February 1st, approximately 1,000 residential buildings were without heat, but the situation is improving daily. Utility services continue to work on restoring heat to all districts of the capital, including the Solomianskyi and Pecherskyi neighborhoods.

The heating supply situation in Kyiv remains under control, with municipal services actively working to restore heating across all districts. The use of mobile boilers is vital for providing warmth to socially important facilities during winter. Continued monitoring and rapid response to issues with the energy infrastructure are key to ensuring comfortable conditions for the capital's residents.
