Kryvyi Rih Resident Receives Sentence
According to TSN.ua: A court in Kryvyi Rih has convicted a local woman for producing and distributing pornographic material. The Dovhyntsivskyi District Court of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, found her guilty under Part 2 of Article 301 of Ukraine's Criminal Code. This case highlights Ukraine's ongoing legal efforts to combat the illicit online adult content trade.
The woman, a mother of a young child with no prior criminal record, created intimate videos and sold them through the Telegram messenger app. One such video was sold for 800 hryvnias. The court approved a plea bargain agreement in this case.
Sentence and Consequences
The court sentenced her to five years of imprisonment. However, she received a suspended sentence with a probationary period of one year. Additionally, she is required to pay 3,565 hryvnias to cover the cost of a forensic examination.
This prosecution demonstrates the serious legal consequences for producing and distributing pornography in Ukraine, which constitutes a criminal offense.
