According to inkorr.com: In Lviv, law enforcement detained a 22-year-old boy suspected of setting fire to the doors of a postal department. According to available data, he was hired to carry out this 'task' and was promised a 'reward' for identifying allegedly Russian agents.
On the evening of October 14, the man set fire to the doors of one of the 'Ukrposhta' branches, carrying out a 'task' from a person who posed as an employee of Ukrainian special services.
According to information from 'Glavkom', the suspect communicated with a fraudster who convinced him of the need for the arson to 'expose' individuals allegedly hired by Russia.
'The special service employee' did not disclose the purpose of the arson but promised money for such actions.
Quick Detention of the Offender
Thanks to the police's rapid actions, the boy was successfully detained. He has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for intentional damage to property by arson.
It is worth noting that the accused is entitled to the presumption of innocence until a court decision is issued confirming his guilt.
We remind you that the doors at the Lviv branch of 'Ukrposhta' were set on fire, and the suspect has already been detained. He has been charged with intentional damage to property. The police quickly uncovered this crime, and a legal assessment of the events that took place is currently ongoing.
Thus, the situation highlights the importance of the promptness of law enforcement agencies in investigating crimes related to threats to national security. Such incidents demonstrate the need for careful monitoring of the actions of individuals who may act within the context of hybrid threats.
