A German Writer Who Started Her Career in Ukraine Found Dead.
In Hamburg, Germany, 58-year-old German writer Alexandra Fröhlich, known for her bestsellers, was found dead. This information was reported by The Guardian newspaper.
The writer's son found her lifeless on April 22 in their houseboat in the Hamburg district of Müggenburg.
Police found fibers and blood at the scene, conducted a water check around the house for traces of a crime, and it is suggested that the writer's death was violent. An investigation into this fact has been launched.
According to a local newspaper, NDR, Fröhlich was likely shot. The final cause has not yet been named by the police.
Fröhlich began her career as a journalist and founded a women's magazine in Kyiv. She then became a freelancer in Germany, writing for various magazines such as Stern, before starting to write novels.
In 2012, Fröhlich published her first novel 'My Russian Mother-in-Law and Other Disasters', which was based on her own experience of marriage to a Russian man. This novel made it to the bestseller list of Der Spiegel, which is a prestigious literary sales ranking in Germany. The novel topped the charts for several months and was also translated into French.
In 2016, Fröhlich released another crime novel 'Death Is Certainty', which also became a bestseller. In 2019, her novel 'Skeletons in the Closet' was published. Both novels were published by Penguin. Fröhlich's works were distinguished by a combination of humor, family stories, and social themes.

Furthermore, the Federal Security Service of Russia announced the detention of a suspect in the murder of Russian General Yaroslav Moskalyk.
