According to TSN.ua: A 48-year-old mobilized soldier, Ivan Volovetskyi, died on February 2, 2023, at the Yavoriv Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). Officials from the center confirmed the cause of death as alcohol poisoning.
Ivan Volovetskyi, born on June 21, 1977, was reportedly intoxicated when detained for a check of his military registration documents. Following the incident, his body was taken for an autopsy. This case highlights ongoing scrutiny of procedures within Ukraine's military recruitment system during the ongoing conflict.
Tetiana Volovetska, a relative of the deceased, stated: 'A person died under unclear circumstances in a state institution.'
The case is currently under the control of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office.
