Attack on an activist in Warsaw

An unpleasant incident occurred in Warsaw: a man attacked an activist who was defending an elderly Ukrainian woman. The attacker was spreading negative statements about Ukrainians, demanding that they leave Poland, and ultimately physically assaulted the woman.
“When my friend and I got on bus No. 190, we immediately heard one of the men yelling. ... about how Ukrainians should get out of Poland and many other disgraceful things,” said the victim Zenobia Zachek.
The woman who was attacked did not accept the situation. She tried to stop the attacker and defend her beliefs, but was hit in the face. Only thanks to the timely arrival of the police, who detained the offender, was she able to avoid more serious consequences.
“Some man was just standing between me and the attacker. This is visible in the video – he was holding on to the handrail. If he had simply blocked his way, the attack on me might not have happened,” Zachek noted.
The activist emphasized the importance of countering a hostile atmosphere and the necessity of being defenders of the truth. Unfortunately, such incidents are becoming more frequent, so it is important to be ready to react and help others in difficult situations. The police detained the attacker and launched an investigation to clarify all circumstances of the event. It is important to remember that such acts not only harm individuals but also create an atmosphere of fear in society. Activists like Zenobia Zachek play a crucial role in countering aggression and defending human rights, and each of us can contribute to this cause.
