Tragedy in Volgograd: a man's body found under the monument
The body of a man was discovered inside the 'Motherland Calls!' monument in Volgograd. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing Russian media.
According to the investigation, the deceased man, 68-year-old rector of the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture (MSAPC) Nikolai Chesnokov, died of a heart attack. It is noted that he entered the monument only during an unauthorized tour. During the tour, Chesnokov felt unwell, and other participants tried to help him, but it was not possible to save him. The rector died before the ambulance arrived.
