According to TSN.ua: On March 21, 2023, air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine, including in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia, due to threats from hostile drones. These attacks resulted in shelling and explosions that caused severe damage.
Zaporizhzhia suffered a second assault in a single day. Explosions rocked one district of the city, leading to significant destruction. A morning drone strike on a private home in Zaporizhzhia killed a married couple, sparking widespread concern among local residents. Additionally, the attack cut power to more than 47,000 subscribers, highlighting a critical electricity supply crisis in the city.
Regional Situation
Zaporizhzhia Mayor Ivan Fedorov warned that
“some areas of the city may experience power supply interruptions”(Ivan Fedorov), complicating daily life for residents. The situation remains tense, and local authorities continue to implement measures to ensure public safety.
These events underscore the ongoing military hostilities in Ukraine, which are taking a heavy toll on civilians. Attacks on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, are alarming the population and threatening essential services.
