Ukraine reminded Hungary who is to blame for problems in the European energy market.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to statements from the leadership of Hungary regarding the impact of Ukraine's decision not to extend the transit agreement with Russia on consumer prices.
The ministry claims that such an information campaign is politically motivated and has internal goals. They remind that the European Commission stated that Ukraine's decision will not affect energy security and prices in Europe.
The ministry also notes that Russia has always been the cause of problems in the European energy market and has used energy as a weapon.
Currently, the European Commission and European countries are actively working to increase energy independence and diversify supply sources. Many countries are already turning to alternative suppliers from the USA and the Middle East.
Ukraine is ready to join the EU and NATO if Hungary chooses membership in the CIS or CSTO. However, if Hungary wants to end the war, it must strengthen its energy security and independence together with the rest of Europe and the USA.
