Ukraine received the second batch of F-16 aircraft from Denmark.
Denmark provided Ukraine with the second batch of F-16 aircraft
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that the second batch of F-16 aircraft from Denmark has arrived in Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to the Danish people for their leadership in protecting lives and added that the planes from the first batch have already proven their effectiveness in intercepting Russian missiles and protecting people and infrastructure.
Zelensky also emphasized the importance of the resolve of all partners in the fight against Russian terror. Expressing gratitude to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and her team, he stressed that such actions contribute to strengthening Ukraine's air shield and creating parity with the Russians in the sky.
It should be noted that Ukraine needs at least 200 F-16 fighters to achieve parity with Russia. Earlier, it was reported that the training of a new group of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters would begin after the completion of a language course, which is mandatory for core training.
According to The New York Times, by 2024 Ukraine will be able to use no more than ten F-16 fighters on the battlefield.
