Ukraine has formed a new 155th mechanized brigade, which underwent extensive training in Poland and France. This was reported by Forbes analyst David Ax.

The brigade, created in May, has received significant support from European allies. French partners provided Caesar self-propelled howitzers, AMX-10RC reconnaissance vehicles, and heavy mortars. Poland contributed 31 Leopard 2A4 tanks.

The brigade consists of about 2300 servicemen and is considered one of the best-prepared among the recently created units. However, according to Ukrainian war correspondent Yuriy Butusov, the brigade faces critical problems.

The main challenge is the lack of drones and jamming systems. In modern warfare, such technologies are key for reconnaissance and effective combat operations.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the systemic problem in equipping the army. According to him, the Ukrainian government has appealed to allies for complete equipment of 10 brigades, but currently, only two and a half are fully equipped.

'The key problem is not the lack of personnel but the shortage of weapons and equipment,' Zelensky emphasized.

Despite the challenges, the 155th mechanized brigade is viewed as an important operational reserve capable of replacing exhausted units at the front.

Earlier, it was reported that Zelensky appointed a new commander of the Ground Forces and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
