Ukraine and Moldova Launch EU Membership Negotiations
According to Novyny.live: On June 15, the European Union will start accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova, following unanimous agreement among all member states to open the first cluster. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made the announcement on June 12, highlighting the significance of this milestone for both nations. The inaugural intergovernmental conference, scheduled for Monday, will kick off discussions on fundamental issues.
The planned session of the Conference on the Accession of Ukraine will take place on June 15 in Luxembourg. Cluster 1 covers key areas including the rule of law and fundamental rights, the functioning of democratic institutions, public administration reform, and economic criteria. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the support to Ukraine, stating:

- Chapter 23 — Judiciary and Fundamental Rights
