Ukrainian Drone Attack on Donetsk Airport

According to TSN.ua: In the early hours of March 28, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles struck the Donetsk Airport compound, destroying enemy drone launch systems, including the 'Gerbera' and 'Shahed' types. The operation also hit additional targets in temporarily occupied territories, such as air defense systems and storage depots.

Targets Destroyed

Among the assets eliminated were two 'Tor' surface-to-air missile systems. One, a 'Tor-M2', was positioned in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk Oblast, while the other, a 'Tor-M1', was located in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Additionally, a warehouse containing electronic warfare equipment and warhead components was destroyed, along with an electronic warfare workshop in the settlement of Luhanske in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.

Further strikes hit:

  • logistics supply depots in the settlement of Blahovishchenka in temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast;
  • a fuel storage facility in Aidar, Luhansk Oblast;
  • a depot for logistics and ammunition in Mangush, Donetsk Oblast;
  • communication towers and network hubs in the same settlement.

Separately, a 'Gvozdika' self-propelled artillery system was confirmed destroyed in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast.

Robert Brovdi noted in his comments that 'Madjar published the full list of struck targets,' highlighting the effectiveness of the operation.

This attack on enemy assets underscores the intensification of Ukrainian forces' efforts against occupation troops in the eastern part of the country. The destruction of critical military resources, such as air defense systems and ammunition depots, can significantly impair the adversary's ability to sustain operations. These actions are part of Ukraine's broader strategy to bolster its defensive capabilities and dismantle enemy infrastructure, potentially shifting the dynamics on the front line.
