According to ТСН: Today, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Central Election Commission has restored the functioning of the 'State Register of Voters.'

The head of the ruling faction 'Servant of the People' in the Verkhovna Rada announced this.

'This essentially paves the way for the restoration of interaction between the CEC and citizens, government bodies regarding the work with the register, and as a result - its updating,' Arachamia noted.

He explained that updating the voter register is one of the main conditions for holding any elections. The war has significantly affected demographic indicators, and these changes should be reflected in the register. Therefore, there will be a lot of work in this direction.

Previously, the president supported the idea of voting through 'Diia' in the elections.

It should be noted that the former president of the United States stated that presidential elections in Ukraine need to be held, as he believes they 'have not been held for a long time.' He mentioned that this issue is one of the most discussed among the citizens of Ukraine.

The restoration of the State Register of Voters' operations is an important step in preparing for possible elections amid the war. This indicates the intention of the Ukrainian authorities to maintain democratic processes despite the complex situation. The continuation of updating the register will be the foundation for ensuring the legitimacy of future votes and stability in the political arena.
