Tragedy in Irpin: Couple Dies from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning from Generator.
According to ТСН: In Irpin, near Kyiv, a young couple fell victim to carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator.
According to the Kyiv region police, a neighbor requested to check on the 29-year-old man and his girlfriend, as they had not been in touch for some time. Upon arriving at the call, law enforcement discovered the lifeless bodies of the couple on the apartment floor. Their pet was nearby. The preliminary diagnosis by medics confirmed carbon monoxide poisoning.
Another Case of Poisoning in Brovary
A similar case of carbon monoxide poisoning also occurred in Brovary. A 56-year-old man went down to the basement to turn on the generator and lost consciousness. His wife sought help from a neighbor, who tried to save him but also suffered from poisoning. Doctors were only able to save the 34-year-old man who assisted. He is currently hospitalized.
These incidents clearly demonstrate the dangers of using generators in enclosed spaces, especially during power outages. It is important to follow safety measures and ensure proper ventilation to avoid similar tragedies. During repair work or when using generators, everyone should be particularly attentive and cautious.
