How to Insulate an Apartment with Penofole: A Simple Way to Increase Temperature.
According to ТСН: In light of the issues with heating and electricity, many Ukrainians are looking for ways to retain heat in their apartments. The temperature in rooms with balconies drops particularly quickly. However, there is a simple and economical way to insulate the space without high costs.
Necessary Materials
For this, you will need Penofole, which is available in any hardware store. It is thin foamed polyethylene coated on one or both sides with foil. To use it, measure the height and width of the wall under the radiator and cut a piece to the desired size. Penofole can be easily attached with liquid nails or double-sided tape.
Operating Principle
The operating principle is simple: the foil reflects heat back into the room and prevents it from escaping through the wall. This helps to increase the temperature in the room, and even during heating interruptions in the kitchen, a comfortable temperature of +18 °C can be maintained.
Window Insulation
In addition to insulating the wall behind the radiator, you should also check the plastic windows. In old or incorrectly adjusted windows, gaps can occur through which cold air enters. To insulate the window, set it to 'winter mode.'
Knowing these simple methods can significantly improve the thermal regime in your home. In the current situation, where the energy situation remains complicated, it is important to take advantage of all possibilities to preserve heat and comfort in the apartment. This not only helps to save on heating costs but also ensures coziness in the cold season.
