Now classified with a third-degree disability due to a prior combat wound, the incident took place one evening while he was walking his dog. According to reports, men in uniform arrived in a black minivan.

Veteran’s Account

The veteran, identified as Hennadii, described what happened:

“I told them right away: guys, I’m not your target—I’m a third-degree disabled person, I can barely walk. I have a titanium rod in my leg and three screws in my knee. But one of them, the one in a balaclava, wasn’t satisfied. They started forcing me into the van. I used my hands to resist being thrown inside, and that’s when they just snapped my arm. I ended up face down inside with an open fracture, just dangling there.” - Hennadii
