Today, August 9, a 'Moment of Silence' event took place in Odesa near the train station and in the Peresyp district. Participants stopped to honor the memory of those who died in the war with Russia. They held flags, portraits, and posters in honor of the soldiers who gave their lives for independence.

Relatives of the soldiers and local residents lined up with posters at the entrance to the train station and at the intersection of Academician Sakharo and Yaroslav Bais streets in the Peresyp district of the city. The main goal of the event is to remind that our soldiers give their lives for independence every day on the front.
What is Known About the Moment of Silence in Ukraine
The daily moment of silence is a nationwide tradition established in March 2022 by presidential decree. Every morning at 9:00, people across the country stop to honor the memory of those who died in the war for Ukraine's independence and freedom.
Let us remind you that recently an event was also held in Odesa in support of prisoners of war and the missing. It is also known that volunteers demanded the transfer of one raccoon for treatment near one of the shopping centers in the city.
