According to Novyny.live: After a long pause, Odesa is resuming electric public transport services. A limited reintroduction of trams and trolleybuses is scheduled for April 1, marking a significant milestone in restoring the city's transit network. To prepare, test runs for tram routes will take place on March 26 and 27, allowing authorities to assess the vehicles' readiness.
Routes on the Schedule
Starting April 1, the following tram lines are expected to operate:
- No. 5
- No. 15
- No. 28
Trolleybuses are also planned along these routes:
- No. 3
- No. 8
- No. 9
- No. 12
This revival of electric transport aims to make city travel easier for residents and reduce pressure on road traffic.
On March 25, repair work was carried out on several streets as part of the broader preparation for the electric fleet's return. Additionally, plans include constructing a road bypassing Palanka in the Odesa region, a move that could improve the area's transport infrastructure.
