Hungary accuses the EU of trying to overthrow governments: what is known about Szijjarto's statement.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto accused the European Union of attempting to overthrow the governments of three countries - Hungary, Slovakia, and Serbia.
Peter Szijjarto reported this on his Facebook.
What Szijjarto said
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry believes that Brussels has lost influence over world politics, as European politicians are not invited to the negotiations between the leaders of the USA and Russia.
This clearly irritates the main liberal political leaders, resulting in increased pressure on the governments that advocate for peace, uphold national interests, and do not submit to Brussels. Today, it is clearer than ever that Central Europe is experiencing increasingly harsh destabilizations aimed at overthrowing governments, and attempts at external interference against the patriotic governments of Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia.
As a result, Peter Szijjarto conducted consultations with his colleagues from Slovakia and Serbia, where they decided to support sovereignty and peace.
Moreover, he noted that the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, openly supports the Hungarian opposition party 'Tisa'.
It is also worth mentioning that the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, did not support the new seven-year EU budget and expressed his concerns regarding the possibility of Ukraine's accession to the EU.
The Hungarian foreign minister accused the European Union of attempting to interfere in the governments of three countries and losing influence over world politics. He emphasized the importance of supporting sovereignty and peace in Central Europe together with his colleagues from Slovakia and Serbia. Against the backdrop of geopolitical movements in the region, the refusal of the Prime Minister of Hungary to support the EU budget and his stance regarding the possibility of Ukraine's accession to the European Union have also been noted.
