December 9 in Ukraine: wet snow in the east and rain in the west.

According to ТСН: The weather in Ukraine on December 9 promises to be changeable. Western and central regions are expected to receive rain, while sleet may occur in the northeastern and eastern parts. Temperatures will fluctuate from +9°C in the west to -1°C in the east.

She noted that the greatest likelihood of wet snow will be in regions with lower temperatures, particularly in Chernihiv, Sumy, eastern areas, as well as in Poltava and partially in Cherkasy. In western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia oblasts, mostly rain is expected throughout the day.

Forecast for the Country

In southern Ukraine and in most central regions, it will be cloudy with no significant precipitation. According to meteorologists, gusty southwest winds are expected in the western, northern, and central areas, while the wind in the south and east will be moderate.

Temperatures across the country will be uneven. In the eastern and northeastern regions, temperatures will range from -1°C to +3°C. In the northern areas, 0°C to +3°C is forecasted. In the central and southern regions, temperatures are expected to be +3°C to +6°C, and up to +10°C on the southern coast of Crimea. The warmest will be in the west – from +5°C to +9°C.

Weather in Kyiv

In Kyiv on December 9, predominantly rain is forecasted, with a possibility of increased precipitation in the evening. At night, temperatures may drop to 0°C to -1°C, potentially leading to icy puddles in the morning. The maximum daytime temperature in the capital will be around +3°C.

Forecast for the Next Few Days

According to the medium-term forecast, relatively warm weather is expected from December 10 to 13. After December 14, a slight but gradual decrease in air temperature is anticipated.

The next days promise to be without significant changes, although the arrival of colder air may affect the weather in Ukraine. It is important for local residents to be prepared for possible wet precipitation and temperature changes that may impact rapidly changing conditions on the roads. In conditions where temperatures fluctuate around zero, the dangers of icing remain relevant, so caution is advised.
