The Prosecutor of Ukraine resigned after the NSDC meeting
The issue of abuses in the MSEC system and the situation in the prosecutor's office was discussed at the NSDC meeting. As a result of the discussions, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, resigned.
Hundreds of cases of unjustified disability acquisition identified in Ukraine
The President reported the identification of hundreds of cases of unjustified disability acquisition by officials from customs, tax, the Pension Fund, and local administrations. According to the president, the MSEC system should be eliminated.
To implement systemic changes, full digitalization of the disability determination process is planned. The President particularly emphasized the problem when combat veterans with real disabilities cannot obtain proper status and payments.
The NSDC's decision provides for a complete audit of pensions and other payments to officials who independently registered themselves as disabled. The President noted that the reports of the Minister of Health and the Minister of Social Policy were insufficiently convincing.
Possible preparation of military units from North Korea
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Syrskyi, reported on the preparation of two military units from North Korea. It is likely that these will be two brigades of 6,000 people each. President Zelensky called on international partners to give a strong response to North Korea's intervention in the war in Europe.
