Since the beginning of the invasion, over 35 thousand square kilometers of territory have been returned to use, stated the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
He noted that Ukraine is the most mined country in the world, as over 174 thousand square kilometers of territory have been affected by war.
The government has identified humanitarian demining as one of the main priorities for recovery. We continue to expand our capabilities
According to Shmyhal, 260 machines are involved in the demining process, 87 operators are working, and about 5.5 thousand people are engaged in clearing Russian mines on Ukrainian-controlled territory.
The Prime Minister emphasized that significant attention is being paid to agricultural lands.
With state funds, over 1000 hectares of agricultural land have already been cleared. This is crucial for crop rotation, harvest, Ukrainian exports, and the economy. Crop rotation has already begun in all regions, and about 1 million hectares have already been sown
We remind you that the most dangerous areas that remain mined are three districts in Kyiv region.
