Are power outages returning to Ukraine? "Ukrenergo" made a statement.

The press service of 'Ukrenergo' reported that there are no forecasts regarding electricity supply restrictions and power outage schedules in Ukraine.

Some media and Telegram channels spread false information about the threat of forced power outages due to cold weather. However, representatives of 'Ukrenergo' stated that this information is untrue.

According to representatives of 'Ukrenergo', the anticipated drop in temperature will not lead to serious problems in the energy system.

The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains stable. Energy workers are preparing for all scenarios, including in the event of a sharp drop in air temperature. We remind that the only reason for the forced implementation of outages has always been and remains the destruction of energy infrastructure due to Russian missile and drone attacks.

The head of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association Stanislav Ignatyev noted that there may be an energy deficit due to cooling in the energy system.

The restoration of energy facilities that were damaged as a result of Russian shelling continues. In total, about 4 GW of thermal and hydro power capacity has been restored in 2024. Another 3 GW of capacity is planned for restoration this year.

Energy Minister German Galushchenko emphasized that the past year was the toughest for Ukraine's energy sector since the beginning of the invasion. Russia began mass strikes in October 2022, which continued throughout 2024.

By the end of 2024, 967 MW of distributed gas generation has been connected in Ukraine, of which 835 MW has been put into operation.

The Ministry of Energy assured that by the end of the 2024-2025 heating season, an additional approximately 900 MW of capacity is planned to be connected, several of which are already in the final stages of execution.
