Jay D. Vance on negotiations with Russia: peace for Ukraine is still not guaranteed.
According to ТСН: US Vice President Jay D. Vance expressed doubts about the quick conclusion of a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia that could resolve the ongoing conflict.
Negotiations ongoing
In an interview with UnHer, he noted that despite the progress made, there is no confidence in the possibility of a peaceful resolution. He emphasized:
“I think we have made progress, but sitting here today, I wouldn't confidently say that we will come to a peaceful resolution of the conflict. I think there is a good chance that it may happen, but there is also a serious chance that it may not.”
Vance also noted that in recent months, Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in negotiations, and the US plans to continue supporting these efforts. He assured:
“We will try to resolve this issue and will continue our attempts at negotiations.”
Breakthrough in negotiations
Previously, Vance stated that during consultations between Russia and the US in Miami, a certain breakthrough was recorded in the negotiations related to Ukraine.
The situation surrounding the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia remains complex. Despite the existing progress, uncertainty continues to haunt both sides. Observers hope that the US will continue its active mediation in these negotiations, as the outcomes will determine the future development of the conflict.
