At approximately 8:50 PM, a grenade explosion claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy named Ivan and inflicted severe injuries on his mother, Nataliia Bereziuk. Preliminary reports suggest the grenade may have been thrown through a window of their home. Nataliia Bereziuk recounted the horrifying moment:

“There was a sound like a window shattering. Almost immediately, something flashed. My son ran to me, and then the explosion happened.”

The boy's mother sustained multiple shrapnel wounds, fractures, and nerve damage. The child's father, who was serving on the front lines, was granted a brief leave to attend the funeral.
