Ukrainian drones attacked the Syzran oil refinery and other facilities in Russia: what was destroyed.
According to ТСН: On the night of December 28, Ukrainian drones attacked the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region of Russia and other enemy facilities.
This information was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Hits from strike drones were recorded on the territory of the refinery, which led to a fire.
The General Staff noted that the annual processing volume at this facility ranges from 7 to 8.9 million tons of oil. It is important to emphasize that the Syzran oil refinery is part of Russia's energy rear and provides support for the operations of the Russian army.
The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
Additional strikes on Russian facilities
Additionally, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully destroyed:
- storage and maintenance site for unmanned boats in the Black Sea region (occupied Crimea),
- repair unit of the 1435th motorized rifle regiment near the settlement of Antratsyt (occupied part of the Luhansk region),
- a pontoon crossing near Nikonorivka,
- a storage facility for Shahed-type drones in Makiivka, Donetsk region.
The enemy's losses are currently being clarified.
Also, the results of the recent strike on the oil products processing plant LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka in the Volgograd region of Russia have been confirmed. As a result of the strike, a pipeline of oil products and a technological unit for oil production were damaged.
Earlier, it was reported that the Defense Forces had set fire to one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.
These events indicate the active actions of Ukrainian forces, who aim not only to protect their territory but also to deliver significant blows to the enemy's energy infrastructure. Attacks on strategic facilities such as oil refineries can significantly affect Russia's ability to sustain military operations. This underscores the importance of drones in modern military tactics.
