On January 4, new electricity outages will be introduced in Ukraine: who will fall under the schedules.
According to ТСН: On Sunday, energy workers will again have to impose consumption restrictions on electricity. The situation in the energy system remains tense, so outages are resorted to for balancing generation and consumption.
NEC 'Ukrenergo' reported on the introduction of restrictions.
Who and how will be disconnected
According to the dispatch center's order, consumption restrictions will apply to most regions of the country.
Two types of schedules are provided:
Hourly disconnection schedules (HDS) – for household consumers (population).
Capacity limitation schedules (CLS) – for industrial enterprises and businesses.
The main reason for these measures is the consequences of massive missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukrainian energy facilities. The system is still recovering and lacks the capacity to fully cover consumption.
Where to find out your schedule
'Ukrenergo' emphasizes: the situation in the energy system is dynamic and may change.
The exact time and volume of outages at your address should be checked on the official websites or social media pages of your regional energy company.
Energy workers also appealed to Ukrainians with a request:
‘When electricity appears according to the schedule – please consume it sparingly!’
This will help reduce the load on the network and avoid emergencies.
Let us remind you that the situation in Ukraine's energy system remains complicated, and citizens should prepare for the fact that disconnection schedules will be in effect until the end of winter. Currently, experts and the government are considering three main scenarios for the heating season, depending on the intensity of enemy shelling.
The situation in Ukraine's energy system continues to be extremely complicated, and in this regard, it is important to adhere to the established disconnection schedules. Citizens should carefully monitor official announcements to not only adapt their consumption but also help energy workers manage resources. Efficient use of electricity will not only ease the load on the system but also support energy stability in the country, which is very important under the current conditions.Read also
