In Kyiv, Dnipro, and the region, there are schedules for electricity outages. The energy system needs Time to recover, so changes in restriction schedules are possible, said the CEO of YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko.

Kovalenko reported that the enemy attacked generating facilities of the energy system of Ukraine during the morning shelling. As a result of this attack, one station worker was killed.

As a result of the massive attack, an emergency power outage occurred, but currently, there are specific restriction schedules in place in Kyiv, Dnipro, and the region.

Kovalenko emphasized that the system needs time to stabilize and recover after the attack.

Russian troops are again attacking Ukrainian energy. Due to the massive shelling of Ukraine, Ukrenergo implemented an emergency power outage.

The occupiers struck at DTEK's thermal power plants, leading to serious damage to energy equipment.

It is also reported that due to enemy shelling, one of the two power lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP with the integrated energy system of Ukraine has been disconnected.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the massive strike by the Russian Federation. He noted that the occupiers launched over 70 missiles at Ukraine.

Zelensky emphasized that the Russian massive strike requires preparation and is not a spontaneous decision. The President condemned the date chosen by Russia for the attack - Christmas. The target of the attack is Ukrainian energy. Zelensky also noted that over 50 missiles and many drones were shot down.

Earlier, an emergency power outage was implemented in several regions of Ukraine. This was necessary due to equipment damage and loss of capacity as a result of shelling.

Ukraine needs 19 more air defense systems to protect energy infrastructure from Russian bombings.
