Venislavsky named the term for the end of the war: when to expect victory.
According to ТСН: MP Fedor Venislavsky expressed the opinion that the war between Russia and Ukraine is approaching its end, and this could happen in early 2026.
He mentioned this in an interview with the Telegraf publication.
"I have not changed my political forecast and opinion. Moreover, what has happened: the ultimatum and the attempts to quickly achieve some result confirm that I am right. If such actions are taking place, it indicates that our American partners want to make maximum efforts to stop the war," he explained.
Venislavsky also noted that as soon as the meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the USA takes place, followed by a meeting with European partners, it will be possible to estimate the terms for the end of the war, perhaps in weeks, not months. The MP is confident that the situation is developing in this direction.
"I remain convinced that the war is approaching its end. Maybe it won't be so fast, not this year (though I do not rule it out, as we still have December), or it may be in February or March. But this is definitely a short-term, not a long-term perspective. The war will not last for years," he concluded.
Earlier, Viktor Yushchenko also expressed concern about the consequences of ending the war outside of international law.
In his opinion, the aggression of the Russian Federation should be stopped with the same determination with which the world dealt with Nazi Germany.
"Then this will be the final point, and this evil will not be repeated either in the life of the current generation or in the future. The enemy must be defeated. We have 54 countries in the coalition. And to its credit, I think victory will be ours," Yushchenko concluded.
Venislavsky's and Yushchenko's statements emphasize the importance of international support for Ukraine in this difficult time. Both politicians are trying to outline scenarios for a possible end to the conflict, which could significantly affect the future fate of the country and its relations on the international stage. The actions of the global community remain key in striving for peace in the region.
