Disruption in the operation of the Estlink 2 cable

The Estlink 2 electric cable, which connects Finland and Estonia, has been damaged, and its restoration will take several months. The cable owners stated that they will gradually restore services and communication.

This incident has drawn the attention of the Estonian Minister of the Interior, who noted that the frequent occurrences of such disruptions may lead to changes in international maritime law.
