According to TSN.ua: A Russian strike on Kharkiv has partially destroyed a five-story residential building. The attack killed one person and injured ten others, including two boys aged 6 and 11, and a 17-year-old girl. A neighboring building was also damaged. This assault is part of a wider pattern of attacks on Ukraine's second-largest city, which lies near the Russian border.
As of the latest reports, approximately ten people, possibly including a child, are feared trapped beneath the rubble. All emergency services are on the scene conducting search and rescue operations, a fact confirmed by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
Wider Air Threat and Civilian Safety
Separately, on the night of March 6-7, Russian drones were detected in the airspace over the Kyiv region, where they were engaged by Ukrainian air defense forces.
This incident underscores the severe toll the ongoing war continues to take on Ukrainian civilians. Kharkiv, a frequent target, remains highly vulnerable to such attacks, raising grave concerns for the safety of its residents. The simultaneous drone activity near the capital highlights the persistent and widespread aerial threat facing the country, necessitating constant vigilance and robust defensive measures.
