Financial Aid for Vulnerable Groups in Ukraine: Up to 15,000 UAH Available.
One-Time Financial Assistance in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Vulnerable citizens in Ukraine can receive a one-time payment of up to 15,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH) through their local territorial community. This financial support program primarily targets the elderly and people with disabilities, helping them cover urgent needs. This aid is part of broader social support efforts during a period of significant economic strain for the country.
Eligibility and Payment Amounts
The material aid of up to 15,000 UAH is available to citizens aged 65 and over and to individuals with disabilities of groups I–II. Payments can be processed only once per year. Citizens with group I–II disabilities are eligible for 5,000 to 15,000 UAH, as are elderly persons aged 65 and over. Families with children under 18 receive 5,000 UAH, and orphaned children get 5,000 UAH per child. Families raising a child with a disability can receive 10,000 UAH, and large families are entitled to a similar sum of 10,000 UAH. Citizens who have covered burial costs are provided 10,000 UAH, and households using stove heating also receive 10,000 UAH.
This financial aid program is also implemented through organizations like the NGO 'Acted', where residents of the Sosnytsia community in the Sumy region can access support. Each family member with a group I-II disability receives 3,600 UAH per month. Furthermore, the UNHCR has opened registration for its support program, which provides 10,800 UAH.
To receive payments, applicants must provide specific documents, including a passport and identification code, an extract from the territorial community register, a pension certificate or social assistance certificate, a certificate of registration as an internally displaced person, as well as a bank details form (IBAN) and other required papers.
Citizens eligible for payments include:
- Citizens with group I–II disabilities
- Persons aged 65 and over
- Families with minor children
- Orphaned children
- Families with children with disabilities
- Large families
- Citizens who have covered burial costs
- Households with stove heating
