In 4 Days - Over a Million Fines: A Raid on Transporters in Kyiv.
In Kyiv, large-scale checks of passenger transporters are taking place with the participation of the Kyiv City Military Administration and Ukrtransbezpeka. Raids are conducted near bus stations and terminal metro stations, where the largest number of passengers is concentrated.
In four days, 430 vehicles were inspected. Inspectors drew up 95 reports of violations, with the total amount of fines exceeding 1 million 650 thousand hryvnias.
Among the violations identified were the lack of necessary permits from drivers and violations of work and rest schedules, which threaten the safety of passengers.
'I am deeply concerned about reports of cases where our soldiers are denied the right to free travel. Such incidents are coming from different districts of the capital, and this is absolutely unacceptable. The social protection of our defenders is the foundation that we must guarantee,' emphasized Timur Tkachenko.
Timur Tkachenko added that such cases are exceptions and not a systemic problem, but each case undermines trust and requires immediate response.
If citizens witness violations of their rights by transporters, particularly regarding free travel for defenders, they can contact the Ukrtransbezpeka hotline at 044 334 43 04, via the chat bot @UkrTransBezpekaBot, or send an email to [email protected].
Earlier in Kyiv, minibus fares sharply increased: where and how the prices for travel have changed.
