Fallen defender Ivan Samoti: a story of life and service.

Life and service
Ivan Samoti was born on July 7, 1977, in the village of Bryukhovichi in the Lviv community. He studied at secondary school No. 41 in Lviv and later acquired the profession of carpenter at the Lviv Professional College of Service and Printing.
Before the war, he worked as a loader at LLC "Cargill Animal Nutrition".
From his relatives’ words, Ivan had a great passion for nature and the forest, loved hunting, fishing, and cooking. He was known for his cheerfulness, kindness, and generosity – always ready to help others.
In 2023, he took up arms to defend his homeland from Russian occupiers, protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Northern-Slobozhansky, Southern-Slobozhansky, and Donetsk directions as part of military unit A7092 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ivan was awarded the medal "War Veteran".
Ivan Samoti was buried at the local cemetery in Bryukhovichi. He is survived by his mother, wife, and son.
