Polish law enforcement officers returned the equipment to the journalists of the agency 'Raiyon.in.ua,' which was confiscated after the Ukrainian media workers were filming a story about freight trains and cars crossing the border between the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and Poland. This was reported by the head of the parliamentary Committee on Freedom of Speech, Yaroslav Yurchyshyn.

At that Time, Polish police confiscated smartphones, cameras with memory cards, and an editorial laptop from journalist Yuriy Konkevych and cameraman Oleksandr Pilyuk.

'I contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on this issue and have been keeping the case under personal control ever since. It became known earlier that the equipment had to be returned. And today, Nataliya Pakhaychuk reported that the equipment was returned. Justice is being restored, but the issue is still not completely resolved,' the deputy noted.

It is worth noting that Yuriy Konkevych and Oleksandr Pilyuk were banned from entering the Schengen zone for five years. Therefore, the editorial office will appeal this decision.

As of the evening of March 9, border guards brought the journalists to the Dorohusk-Yagodyn checkpoint.

According to the editorial assignment, the journalists were to research the topic of freight traffic, assess the cargo flow, and find out which transport is used to cross the border - Polish or Russian.
