Ukrainian Negotiators Credited for Reduced Strikes on Kyiv, Says Key Lawmaker.
Kyiv Experiences a Lull in Attacks
According to Novyny.live: A decrease in the intensity of strikes on Kyiv is now being observed. According to Danilo Getmantsev, head of the Ukrainian parliament's finance committee, this reduction is the result of work by Ukrainian negotiators, not actions by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Getmantsev emphasized that the credit belongs to the Ukrainian team conducting the talks.
“We should thank our negotiation team, not Trump, for the fact that Kyiv is not being shelled as massively as it was just a week ago.”

These remarks highlight the critical importance of Ukraine's diplomatic efforts in the current challenging circumstances. However, Getmantsev also stressed that it is too early to speak of a full or even an energy-specific ceasefire.
Meeting Scheduled in the United Arab Emirates
A meeting of the parties is currently scheduled for February 1 in the United Arab Emirates, which could become a significant step in the peace process. David Arakhamia, head of the ruling 'Servant of the People' faction, is playing a key role in these efforts. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine agrees with almost all points of the peace plan, except for two.
The reduction in strikes on Kyiv may signal positive movement in Ukraine's diplomatic initiatives, underscoring the vital role of negotiations in resolving the conflict. The upcoming meeting in the UAE will serve as a crucial test for the involved parties, as the outcome of these talks will significantly influence the future trajectory of the situation in the region. This development comes as international attention remains focused on finding a path toward a sustainable resolution.
