According to ТСН: A ceasefire outside of international law could lead to a new war with Russia in just 3-4 years, and this threat may affect Ukrainians, Lithuanians, and Poles.

Comment from Viktor Yushchenko

This was stated by the third President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, during the 'News Live' broadcast. He noted:

‘We are fighting well against our most fierce enemy, which has formed the slavery in which my and your nations have been for 350 years. We are giving a decent, dignified, and glorious resistance. And we will definitely win,’

Yushchenko also emphasized that the aggression of Russia should be viewed with the same determination as the world acted against Nazi Germany at the time. He added:

‘Then it will be the final point, and this evil will not repeat itself in the lives of the current generation or in the future. The enemy must be defeated. We have 54 countries in the coalition. And to its credit, I believe that victory will be ours,’

Critique of the Peace Plan

Yushchenko also expressed criticism regarding the so-called 'peace plan' consisting of 28 points that was proposed to Ukraine. He believes:

‘It is humiliating for me to read these lines. I think they should be filed in the archives as they will soon become a disgraceful page of Western diplomacy in the first half of the 21st century,’

In conclusion, Yushchenko emphasized that the USA bears special responsibility for the policy that dozens of states, including Ukraine, have trusted.

The comments by Viktor Yushchenko underline the importance of a clear position from Ukraine and its allies in countering Russian aggression. Yushchenko's words point to the necessity of decisive actions and the resilience of the international community in supporting Ukraine's independence. At the same time, the critique of the peace plan reflects concerns regarding possible compromises that could threaten Ukraine's national security.
