Andriy Yermak on dismissal: Zelensky will remain my friend.
According to ТСН: Former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak commented on his dismissal and his relationship with President Zelensky. He assures that the friendship between them will remain unchanged even after his resignation.
This information was provided by Yermak to the Financial Times, noting:
"He was my friend before this job, and I will consider him one after it".
Yermak also confirmed that on November 29 he planned to go to the USA for negotiations with representatives of President Trump's administration regarding a peace plan aimed at ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
He explained that he was responsible for developing the first US peace plan, which contained 28 points, including Russia's demands for territorial changes and Ukraine's refusal to join NATO.
"The delegations under my leadership in Geneva, along with our American partners, succeeded in ensuring that the document with 28 points no longer existed", he emphasized.
Yermak added that "there are still a few difficult points that need to be agreed upon." He stressed that the president would not agree to compromises that threaten Ukraine's interests:
"In any case, the president, despite the pressure, will not sign or approve anything that contradicts Ukraine's interests".
What preceded
Let us remind you that on November 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the dismissal of Andriy Yermak from the position of head of the Office of the President. This occurred after sanctioned searches in Yermak's house carried out by prosecutors from NABU and SAP as part of a criminal investigation.
Yermak's dismissal may affect further negotiations on the peace process. His role in developing peace initiatives drew attention, and it is now important to see how Ukraine's strategy in negotiations with Russia will change after his departure. The public and experts will be closely monitoring this situation, anticipating new statements and actions from the country's leadership.
