Zelensky on negotiations in the USA: what the Ukrainian delegation will discuss.
According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that an important stage for the country will begin on Monday, specifically, negotiations of the Ukrainian delegation.
In his Telegram channel, he emphasized:
‘This week will involve a lot of work with our partners in Europe, and it is important that we all have the same vision of the situation and an understanding that pressure on Russia as the sole cause of this war, rather than on Ukraine, can actually work for peace.’
As is known, the Ukrainian delegation has traveled to the USA for negotiations with the special envoy of the US President, Steve Witikoff. The delegation includes the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia.
The Ukrainian delegation's visit to the USA comes at a delicate time, as Volodymyr Zelensky faces the resignation of the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, amid growing internal pressure due to a corruption scandal.
This visit underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine. The negotiations may be crucial for strengthening the country's position on the international stage, especially in light of current challenges. Cooperation with partners in Europe and the USA is of great importance for ensuring stability and security in the region.
