New Sanctions Package: Zelenskyy Extends Restrictions on Those Supporting Russia’s Military-Industrial Complex.
Expanded Sanctions Target Collaborators and Russia’s Defense Industry
According to UATV: On June 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees that both extend existing sanctions against entities servicing Russia’s military-industrial complex and introduce new penalties for collaborators. These measures aim to intensify pressure on individuals and organizations enabling Russia’s war effort against Ukraine. The latest round of restrictions underscores Kyiv’s ongoing strategy to disrupt supply chains and financial networks that sustain Russian military operations.
The second sanctions package includes 67 individuals and one legal entity. It specifically targets companies involved in:
- manufacturing and upgrading Russian weaponry;
- developing drones and systems for Russian aviation.
These actions are designed to hinder the flow of resources used in combat operations against Ukraine, further weakening Russia’s logistical and technological capabilities on the battlefield.
Anyone who helps Russia wage war against Ukraine should be prepared for new sanctions.

In a related development, the European Union is preparing its 21st sanctions package against Russia, reflecting sustained international pressure on the aggressor nation. European Council President António Costa emphasized the need for unified efforts to counter aggression and support Ukraine. This demonstrates broad global backing for Ukraine’s position on the world stage, reinforcing the message that Moscow faces increasing isolation.
The extension of sanctions by both Ukraine and the EU signals a firm and ongoing commitment from the international community to oppose Russian aggression and stand with Ukraine. Imposing new restrictions on those who facilitate Russia’s military actions is a critical step in combating collaboration and highlights the necessity of coordinated efforts to ensure regional security. These measures could significantly impact the resource base for Russian military operations, potentially altering the conflict’s trajectory.
