Zelensky commented on the situation at the front and spoke about preparation for winter.

Meeting of the President's Staff: readiness for winter and protection of energy facilities

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Staff dedicated to preparation for winter and protection of energy facilities. The meeting discussed key issues of energy security and the country's defense.

"Each service and all institutions have clear tasks. There were reports on each level of energy system protection", - noted Zelensky in his address.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Energy, and representatives of regional authorities from regions at the greatest risk. The Commander of the Air Forces reported on the state of air defense, particularly about the downing of missiles and drones, as well as the electronic warfare system.

"Discussed the format of strengthening Air Defense, and there are already certain decisions regarding «shahed» and some types of missiles", - informed the President.

The head of "Naftogaz" Oleksiy Chernyshov reported on gas accumulation in storage and infrastructure protection issues. Zelensky emphasized that all elements of winter preparation - electricity, gas, coal - are clearly defined.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the situation at the front. "The situation is not simple, but we hold positions, and I am grateful to each brigade, each soldier, sergeant, and officer who ensures our resilience", - noted Zelensky.

The Minister of Defense reported on fulfilling the order to increase funding for Ukrainian weapons production. According to the President, new contracts in the defense production sector are planned to be concluded by the end of the month.

Zelensky also reported on a conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and NATO Secretary General, during which the strengthening of support for Ukraine was discussed.
