Zelensky on China: rhetoric about peace, but no real help for Ukraine.

According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that China adheres to a non-conflict approach in its rhetoric regarding Ukraine, yet in practice it makes no efforts to end the war, despite its expressed support for sovereignty.

During a meeting with journalists, he emphasized that China openly speaks about respect for Ukraine's territorial integrity and assures that it has no intentions of supplying arms to Russia. However, according to the president, there have been no real steps from China that could assist Ukraine.

Facts of cooperation with Russia

Zelensky pointed out the facts of China supplying machines and components to Russia, as well as the openness of the Chinese market for the purchase of cheap drones by the Russian side. Ukraine has repeatedly raised these issues during negotiations with China.

The president added that the Chinese side justifies its position with neutrality and a willingness to cooperate with all, but Ukraine does not have the opportunity to purchase such products.

Calm dialogue without real results

Zelensky stressed that the dialogue with China remains calm and non-conflictual, but does not contribute to significant progress in ending the war.

Moreover, it is worth noting that China has previously expressed opposition to the seizure of frozen Russian assets and unilateral sanctions without a decision from the UN Security Council.

It remains unclear why China does not take more active steps to promote a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Given the situation, China's actions and stance will be closely monitored by the international community.
