Ukrainian President's Address at the Economic Forum

According to Novyny.live: Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that American participation is crucial for Ukraine's security. He asserted that security guarantees for his country cannot be effective without the involvement of the United States. This forum is a key annual gathering where global leaders discuss political and economic issues.

Zelenskyy also expressed concern about achieving a ceasefire, asking:

“But what about a ceasefire? Who can help make that happen?”
It was noted at the forum that the United Kingdom and France have committed to deploying their troops in Ukraine after a peace is secured. However, the Ukrainian president believes that without U.S. backing, these guarantees risk remaining merely declaratory statements.

The Ongoing Need for International Backing

Zelenskyy's speech underscores the persistent need for international support as the conflict continues. Engaging the United States as a security guarantor could be a decisive factor in achieving regional stability. The issue of a ceasefire remains a critical priority, with Ukraine hoping for proactive steps from its international partners in this direction. The war's duration has made sustained Western military and diplomatic support more vital than ever.
