Zelensky to Address UN Security Council Meeting and Present "Victory Plan" at Meeting with Biden.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will address a UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, according to Slovenia's mission to the UN, which is chairing the 15-member body in September.

The meeting will take place during the annual gathering of world leaders at the UN General Assembly in New York on September 24, reports Reuters.

Zelensky arrives in the US with a "victory plan," which he intends to present to US President Joe Biden. His visit comes at a critical moment in the war, as Russian troops continue to advance in eastern Ukraine despite an unexpected Ukrainian attack on Russia's Kursk region last month.

The UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday was initiated by the US, the UK, France, Japan, South Korea, and Malta, according to diplomats.

Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, which was strongly condemned by the 193-member General Assembly, which also demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops. However, the Security Council remains deadlocked as Russia holds veto power over any actions.

Recall, Zelensky rejected the "freezing" of the war and commented on the successful long-range strike on Russia.
