Zelensky announced the continuation of the operation in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

Ukrainian troops are actively defending themselves in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, after the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the situation is difficult in many areas.

By midday, there had been almost 70 Russian assaults on our positions. Fighting continues. The occupier continues its attempts to advance. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, Lyman, and Kursk directions.

The president emphasized that the situation at the front and the activity of the Russian army indicate insufficient pressure from the global community on Russia to end the war.

Zelensky noted that greater pressure on Russia is necessary for a greater influence of diplomacy and thanked everyone who supports Ukraine.

Regarding the completion of operations in the Kursk region, the head of the General Staff of Russia Valery Gerasimov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin; however, the General Staff of Ukraine stated that the information does not correspond to reality.

The operation in designated areas in Kursk continues. The operational situation is complicated, but our units are holding positions and carrying out tasks, including using active defense tactics.

Thus, the Ukrainian military is actively defending itself in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation. President Zelensky stated that the situation at the front remains complicated and greater pressure on Russia is necessary for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. Even the statements of the head of the General Staff of Russia about the completion of operations in the Kursk region do not correspond to reality, as combat actions continue. The Ukrainian military is holding positions and employing active defense tactics.
