Woman handed over coordinates of the GUR building to Russians - what the court decided.
The woman in Kyiv region was tried for joining an enemy Telegram channel and passing information about the positions of Ukrainian defenders. For this, she was sentenced to imprisonment.
In March 2022, the woman joined a Telegram channel used by the Russians to collect information about Ukraine's defenders. On the same day, she took photographs of positions and checkpoints near the GUR Ministry of Defense and passed the information to the enemy.
Case details
During the trial, the woman denied her guilt, but the evidence confirmed her involvement in passing information. A Security Service employee confirmed that she provided coordinates and other information about military facilities. The convicted woman received 15 years of imprisonment, and her property will also be confiscated.
The sentence can be appealed within 30 days. In case of an appeal, the Kyiv Appeal Court will hear the case.
As a reminder, in Odesa region, a soldier was sentenced to a probationary term for theft, and a woman who displayed the Russian flag in downtown Odesa was found not guilty of insanity.

The woman received 15 years of imprisonment and the confiscation of property. She has the opportunity to appeal the verdict within a month before the Kyiv Appeal Court.
