Residents of Belgorod Oblast devised an unusual way to profit from the war.

A new way to earn money in Belgorod Oblast may lead to criminal liability
Local residents of the region decided to take advantage of a new earning opportunity, but this may have negative consequences. During a government meeting held by the governor of Belgorod Oblast, it was noted that some people have started to position their cars to be struck by drones, hoping to receive compensation.
«There are conversations among relatives: our settlement is being shelled, let's take the car out of the garage; maybe it will get hit – at least we will get some money. The car is old, probably no one would buy it,» the publication quotes the governor.
Criminals also demand relocation to receive assistance
There have also been cases in Belgorod Oblast where groups of residents demand to be relocated from their homes in order to receive additional government payments. According to the governor, calls for such actions are spreading on social media, even if there are no grounds for them.
Recently, drones attacked a government building in Belgorod Oblast, resulting in injuries to the deputy governor and a member of the Rosgvardiya. Another incident led to the injury of the deputy governor due to an explosion.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently struck a command post of the Russian border guard in Belgorod Oblast.
Government officials are warned about the dangerous consequences of these actions, such as positioning cars to be struck, demanding unnecessary relocations, or spreading calls for fraud through social media. Substitution or abuse may lead to criminal liability before the law.
